  • ½ cup Moong Dal
  • ½ cup Masoor dal
  • 5 tbsp Garlic chopped
  • 1 t/s Jeera
  • 2 Onion chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 1 t/s Jeera Powder
  • 1 t/s Haldi Powder
  • 1 t/s Chilli Powder(Optional)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Coriander Leaves
  • ½ lime juice
  • 3 Green Chillies
  • Pinch Of Hing
  • Salt as per taste
How to make the recipe?
  1. Firstly wash both the dals and soak them for 10 mins.
  2. Now boil them in a vessel with water and salt or you can put them in pressure cooker with 3 whistles. Once the dals cook keep them aside.
  3. For tadka take oil in a vessel add jeera, garlic and wait until they crackle. Now add hing and stir them. Its time you put Chopped onions, Green Chilies and Salt.
  4. Once the onion becomes light pink add tomatoes to it and mix well.
  5. Wait until tomatoes changes color and texture add haldi to it.
  6. Add the dal and let it cook.
  7. Now add jeera powder, hing and chilli powder to the the Dal.
  8. Stir well, adjust the seasoning now add lime juice and let the dal cook for a minute.
  9. Your Lasooni Dal Tadka is ready to be served with steamed rice and Hot Rotis or Naan. Garnish Lasooni Dal Tadka with Coriander leaves.
