Easy Eggless Danish Apple Cake Recipe.
recipeIngredient (used american measuring cup, 1 cup = 250 ml)
For cake:
  • 1 cup wheat flour or refined flour ( I used refined flour)
  • ½ cup or about 100 gm sweetened condensed milk ( I used amul brand)
  • 1 apple cored, peeled and chopped into cubes
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp corn meal
  • 1 tbsp milk powder (optional)
  • milk as required
  • 10-12 walnuts (optional)
For crusty top:
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar or as required
Equipment required:
  • 1 small loaf pan of about or cupcake mould
How to make the recipe?
  1. Firstly peel the apple, peel and chop into small cubes.
  2. Sift flour, corn meal, cinnamon powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and milk powder.
  3. Into another bowl combine condensed milk and oil.
  4. Mix well then fold sifted dry ingredients gradually.
  5. If the mixture is too dry then add little milk. Pour the batter half into the greased loaf pan. Spread some apple cubes and cover with the rest of batter. Top with rest of apples and also spread walnuts. Sprinkle the cinnamon powder and sugar all over the top of cake.
  6. Preheat the oven for 15 mins before baking at 180ÂșC. Bake for 35-40 mins or until the skewer comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool on a rack then unmould gently. Serve your eggless apple cake warm or chilled with a dollop of icecream.
1. Adding nuts are optional.
2. Add milk only if required.
3. Since the condensed milk is sweet there is no need to add sugar.
4. You could also bake them in cup cakes for 20 mins or until the skewer comes out clean.
