Healthy Tea time snack Sprouts Kabab delicious and nutritious!

sprouts kabab

There are lot of types and variations of kababs made and found in India. Mostly they are made of meat Or chicken. Nowadays you get to see a lot of vegetarian and vegan kababs too. Now what are kababs? they are skewered meat cooked next to flame in ancient days. However these days you could fry kebabs, tandoor them, grill them Or bake them it’s you choice.

I personally love kababs be it non veg Or veg I just freak out on them. Due to intense summer heat I am avoiding non vegetarian food. That’s why came out with a healthy option of Sprouts Kabab. Sprouts Kabab can be eaten with green chutney, pomegranate yogurt raita, can be placed in burgers, sandwiches Or just pop them with tomato sauce with tea time. I ate some with chutney and some I made burgers which my hubby liked a lot.

If you want the recipe for green chutney and pomegranate raita then click on the below links:

  1. Green Chutney
  2. Pomegranate Raita

I realized after lot of summer drinks posting I should post something else. I am looking forward to make more of sprouts kababs with different variations. You could make them with green mung sprouts, matki, black gram sprouts any sprouted gram is fine. I used brown chickpea sprouts for my kebabs. I don’t wanna write more about kababs as that is making me hungry.

You could make sprouts at home Or buy readymade.

Sprouts Kabab step by step recipe details below:

If you make sprouts home it will take app 3 to 4 days to cultivate sprouts. Pressure cook the sprouts until they are tender. Strain the water completely.

Notes for sprouts kababs:

  1. While grinding please don’t add water else mixture would be soggy.
  2. You could add chopped coriander leaves, chopped onion as well.
  3. Also you could skewer this kabab Or shape them oval/round. I tried both ways it shapes good and tastes good.
  4. Squeeze some lime juice if you like that way.
  5. Serve with green chutney, sauce Or dips you like.
