Almond Milk Recipe is yum yum, delicious, healthy, cool and refreshing drink during summers! Almond are known as Badam in India hence Almond Milk is Badam Milk. This Almond Milk Recipe Indian is purely my own version. The Almond Milk came out so creamy, tasty and yummy that it got over so soon. Most of it I only drank as I just loved Almond Milk so much that I finished most of it by myself 🙂 Almond Milk Recipe Indian is infused with cardamom and evaporated milk tastes amazing worth trying 🙂

I always had Almond Milk on the road side stalls of Pune. The taste always lingered in my mouth. Plus it was holi so I thought why not make Almond Milk home. Luckily I had almonds home. The question was how to make Almond Milk ? just like the road side vendor Or the authentic way of making them………….. Finally I decided to come up with my own version.
The recipe is simple and the best part is the almond powder I made for the Almond Milk. The almond powder can be stored in the fridge and used later. Generally Almond Milk is made with powdered almonds but I wanted both powder and nuts. So I have utilized powder + whole nuts for the extra nutty flavor. Some people also mix pistachios in Almond Milk. But I wanted my Almond Milk to be made with only Almonds.
Almond Milk is generally made during destive occasions in India like Holi, Diwali etc. Almond Milk is also a refreshing drink during summers. Actually badam milk can be consumed during summers Or winters. It’s great to have it any time of the year. I tried warm as well as cold Almond Milk both taste awesome. Depends which way you wanna have them.
Do try this recipe home I know you will surely like them. Make them for your loved ones. They will surely like them. My hubby also got tempted and drank a full glass. Astonishingly he loved Almond Milk 🙂 …………. I said to myself great Maria he at-least liked one of the Sweet Drink I made ;)……. My hubby is not having a sweet tooth like me (:
Let’s make almond milk recipe step by step:
- Firstly take whole almonds and cardamom with skin. Grind them into a processor until fine powder is formed.
3. Take a wide bottomed sauce pan. Add milk and place it on low heat. Put the crushed almonds into it. Allow the milk to boil.
4. Once milk reaches it’s boiling point Or starts bubbling. Put 4 to 5 tbsp of the grounded powder. Add more if you want it more creamier and thick. Rest of powder store into an air tight bottle Or container and keep in the fridge.
5. Keep stirring occasionally and add fresh rose petals if you desire. Cook for 3 to 4 mins add salt and essence. Add if more sugar required as I prefer less sweet.
6. Switch off the gas. Serve Almond Milk hot Or cold. Garnish with few rose petals. Place a dollop of icecream Or kulfi over the badam milk.

Can you use store bought almond milk or do you have to make your own?
maria says
Sue you could use store bought milk but preferably if you make home it will have a better taste, aroma and much healthier.

Sadly, I have never tried Almond milk. It is readily available in the store, not sure why I am delaying tasting this! There is no doubt that your homemade version here beats store bought hands down. It looks deliciously creamy!
Hope you enjoyed Holi and happy Monday!
