Chocolate Prunes Cake

Prunes are full of anti oxidants, minerals, vitamins and fiber. Prunes are also known to build immunity and maintain harmony in our body. Prunes are known as Aloo bukhara in India. However Californian Prunes are more sweeter in taste unlike Indian Prunes. Do include Prunes in your diet daily for a kiss of good health. However I wanted to make a different cake for my moms birthday hence made chocolate prunes cake. Not only that I made for my lovely mom a delicious chocolate mousse. She loved both of them!

Chocolate Prunes Cake

I have used Californian prunes Delmonte Brand. They are pitted damp prunes and great to taste. You could use fresh prunes but remove their seeds. I have boiled prunes with water. Once they are soft have blend them in the processor until smooth.

My cake is always with some dry fruits. Rarely I bake cakes without dry fruits. Dry fruits are a must in my cake. Be it Walnut, Almonds, Pistachios, Cashews Or figs. I love to use them in my puddings, cakes, ice creams. Dry fruits enhances the taste at the same time increases the value of food.
