Crispy Bhindi – Crispy Okra Recipe

Bhindi are favorites of many people I know. My mum, my fiancee, my friends they love Bhindi unlike me. I am not a fan of Bhindi however I love Crispy Bhindi and tried this amazing Crispy bhindi – Crispy Okra Recipe. One of my neighbours used to make this recipe and had given me to taste and from than I just love this recipe.

Crispy Bhindi or Crispy Okra recipe is a simple recipe yet very delicious and crispy. Crispy Bhindi or Crispy Okra is also done quickly. I just loved this Crispy Bhindi or Crispy Okra recipe and ate with Chappatis accompanied with Dal and Rice.

Do try this wonderful Crispy Bhindi or Crispy Okra Recipe if you are a Bhendi lover you will go gaga over this Crispy Bhindi or Crispy Okra Recipe.

Preparation time : 25 mins

Serves: 3 to 4 people

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg Fresh Bhindi
  • 2 Big Sized Onion
  • 2 to 3 tbsp Chaat Masala
  • lime Juice
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil 2 to 3 cups.

Method:

Firstly wash Bhindi thoroughly under running water wipe them with a cloth.

Crispy Bhindi or Crispy Okra

Remove the head and tail of Bhindi and take 4 to 5 bhindis.

Cut them parallely into 1 inch size as shown in the pic below.

Take oil in a kadhai or handi one they are hot add all the bhendi once they are half cooked.

Once the Bhindi change their texture and they start shrinking add onions and now fry them.

When the Bhindis look nice brown and are crispy remove them in another vessel. Remove the excess oil and dab tissue paper which will help in absorbing extra oil.

Now add salt and sprinkle Chaat Masala mix well with your hand or spoon. Squeeze lime juice on the Crispy Bhindi or Crispy Okra and serve hot with Rotis or Chappatis.

Garnish with Coriander leaves and make it more healthier.

Tip:

  • Ensure you fry the bhendi or okra on a medium fire else they might burn
