Egg Fried Rice (indochinese)

June 2, 2020 by maria 2 Comments

Egg Fried Rice Recipe a popular indo-chinese food at Mumbai and also other places in India. It’s a great hit with kids and also great for people who aren’t fond of chicken. This is quick, easy and healthy recipe.

Egg Fried Rice (indochinese)

This makes an ideal meal for a lazy day. You could give this dish as lunch box, quick meal or even serve to your sudden guest’s. I usually make this along with szechuan sauce and some side dish like manchurian or grilled dish.

There are many variations to make this dish and this my version of egg fried rice. I have used celery leaves which gives an authentic chinese flavor. But if you don’t have them just skip them. Used a lot of veggies like mushrooms, carrots, cabbage, capsicum and french bean.

Also sichuan pepper gives a great chinese flavor to your dish. So try to get hold of this spice. You get them a lot in Goa, Konkan belt and Karnataka. We are blessed to have Dorabjees – Pune as sichuan pepper or teppal spice is always available throughout there.

Personally I love the flavor of tepal spice as we use them a lot in Goan cuisine. Just roast them and make their powder and they last long for me.

If you are worried about the egg yolks then just add the egg whites instead 🙂

This is the best fried rice recipe I have ever tried by far, thank you so much for posting it. The vinegar, sugar and soy soy complement each other so well. For once I have found a fried rice recipe that does not have the overpowering taste of soy soy (since I’m not that much of a fan of it). I made this for our sunday lunch and it was a winner and I am planning to make it again today.

    Thanks again Maria.
