Eggless Chocolate Mousse:Chocolate Mousse Without Gelatin

I am excited and very happy to share this Easy Eggless Chocolate Mousse with all of you. This is my own version and innovation of Easy Eggless Chocolate Mousse that too without gelatin. I would never use animal gelatin for my chocolate mousse hence I have used Agar Agar also called as China Grass. It’s easily available in crawford market or shops selling cake products. Honestly this Easy Eggless Chocolate Mousse turned out damn delicious its sugar free plus melts in your mouth and is a terrific desert for Chocoholics. Easy Eggless Chocolate Mousse

We were expecting little guests in the evening. Also I had promised them I will make chocolate mousse for them. So I had to make mousse in the noon it was already three o clock so I better quicken my process of making mousse. The best part is the mousse quickly set bang  on time once the litttle kids arrived. I was content when I saw them enjoying the chocolate mousse 🙂

Eggless Chocolate Mousse

Even my mom and dad loved it. My pet also wanted to indulge in chocolate however chocolates isn’t good for her. So had to keep her away from it. I also loved it was simply amazing.

Eggless Chocolate Mousse

Do indulge in this exotic chocolate affair by making this Easy Eggless Chocolate Mousse!

Total Time: 15 to 20 mins and 1 hour to set in the fridge

Serves: 5 people

Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate paste
  • 1 cup chunks of dark chocolate
  • 100 gms cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp agar agar (china grass)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp custard powder
  • 2 tbsp vanilla powder
  • 4 tbsp butterscotch nuts
  • 10 cashews
  • 18 to 20 raisins

Method:

Take hot water mix agar agar for 2 mins and let it rest.

Easy Eggless Chocolate Mousse

Now take a heavy bottomed sauce pan. Keep heat on low mode. Combine cocoa powder, chocolate chunks, milk, chocolate paste, dark chocolate, vanilla powder, raisins and cashews.

Keep stirring with a spatula Or spoon else might stick at the bottom. Now add olive oil and combine all.

Lastly add agar agar with water and custard powder. Continue stirring until all blends well.

Now switch off the gas and fold cream in this mixture. Finally add butterscotch nuts into it. Once all is mixed well.

Pour the batter into the desired moulds. Keep in the fridge to set. Once set your Easy Eggless Chocolate Mousse is ready.

Serve chilled and decorate with nuts or candies.

Tip:

  1. Vegans can use coconut cream instead of cream.
  2. Don’t cook butterscotch nuts with mousse. Otherwise it will melt and burn in the vessel. So add them only after mixture cools down.
  3. Please don’t keep them in the freezer unless you want a hard mousse 🙂
  4. Sugar is not required unless you using bitter chocolate Or more sweetness required.
  5. You could also garnish with choco chips, shavings of chocolate, desiccated coconut flakes, cherries Or with a dollop of icecream.
  6. One more tip you could also serve them with chocolate cake Or top with mixed fruits.

    It looks so tempting!!!! But I dont think so we get chocolate paste in US.So can you pls tell me what can I replace for chocolate paste to make this delicious chocolate mousse!!!!!
