Until now whenever I have gone to eat Pizza I always ordered for Garlic bread with Cheese. After gulping my garlic bread I go for Pizza. My favorite Garlic Bread with Cheese is from Yana Sizzlers Pune. I always wanted to try Garlic Bread at home. I did a lot of research for Garlic bread however I didn’t find anyone which is made from scratch. Most of the recipes for Garlic bread recipes are on ready-made bread purchased from Market.

Homemade Garlic Bread from Scratch – Cheesy Garlic Bread is simple to make also healthy. I will use cheese more generously next time I make this Cheesy Garlic Bread. If you wanna cut down on fat you could use less cheese. Let me tell you one thing the burnt Cheese on the bread tastes heavenly.

I have used coriander leaves you could use any herb. Even Parsley, Thyme, Rosemary, Mint any herb would taste amazing. You could make more quantity and store the Garlic bread n Freezer. It should stay good for a week. However thaw it atleast one hour before eating.

You could saute garlic, coriander leaves and chillies in butter for about a minute. Otherwise you could combine chopped garlic, coriander leaves and chillies in a bowl. Keep this mixture aside.

Take all dry ingredients (Sieve wheat flour, refined flour).

Combine milk and butter. Microwave on high power so that butter melts into the milk. Let the milk-butter mixture cool down.

Make a small well in the flour. Slowly add milk- butter mixture. Start mixing them with your finger tips. It will appear like small crumbs. Add the frothy yeast also into the dough.

Use all your stamina and knead for 15 to 20 mins. The more you knead the better results. To achive this dough you might have to add little flour and oil. But you will be tempted to add flour. Please don’t add more flour else unless you want hard bread.  Slowly as you knead the dough will be smooth, soft but yet sticky. That is okay. Shape into a ball shape.

Take a vessel sightly oiled at the bottom. Place this dough into it and store in a humid place. Cover the dough with a damp cloth.  Roughly after 30 to 40 mins the dough will double up in size. Again knead the dough for 4 to 5 mins. Now you could bake in 2 ways. One in small round shape and second in Bread shape.

Again keep the dough to double up roughly for 30 mins more. Cover the dough with a damp cloth. For bread shape take the doubled up dough. Divide the dough into 2 parts.

First part of the Dough: Shape into a big round ball. Take half Garlic-Chill mixture and combine into the dough. Also add grated cheese. Once all ingredients are incorporated well.  If you wish you could also add grated cheese on the top of this dough. Place this dough in a box shaped pan. Remember to grease this box shaped baking pan. Bake at 220°C for about 30 mins.

Thanks for coming here also refined flour is nothing but Maida. You could use wheat flour but use 1:1 proportion of wheat flour and maida. I have made this in convection mode and timing is mentioned in the instructions. I have no idea about microwave as I haven’t tried this cake in microwave mode. I always post my recipes after trying and testing them. Hope this information helps you 🙂

      Hi ,

Thanks for stopping at my blog and sharing your views on it. I do agree with you and thanks a ton for your feedback. For 3 of you’ll you can use the same proportion in the recipe (if all 3 eat 3 breads lol) … The proportion is below

Take 1 cup wheat flour, 1/2 cup refined flour, 1/2 t/s yeast, 1/2 t/s salt, 1/2 t/s honey or sugar, 5 tbsp milk, 1 tbsp Butter Or Olive oil..Follow the same instructions as in the recipe.

For the filling take 10 to 15 Garlic chopped, 3 tbsp Coriander leaves, 1 Green Chili, 1/2 cup cheese grated and for toppings.

Hope this will help you and also hoping your garlic bread turns out to be great.

      God bless u!

      Love,
      Maria
