his is my first attempt to make mashed potatoes. Also I wanted to make them in Indian style hence the name Mashed Potatoes Indian Style. Mashed Potatoes are great who so ever has started making this hats off to that person. Mashed Potatoes Indian Style tastes great and is delicious when you eat them hot. I have suddenly developed a new craze for Mashed Potatoes. My hubby also loves Mashed Potatoes as he is fond of potatoes. Mashed Potatoes are made in so many styles and variations throughout the world now. However I loved the Mashed Potatoes Indian Style infused in Indian Spices!
Potatoes are loved by people all over the world. Very few people know potatoes have vitamin C, potassium and copper. Baked potatoes are healthy for our body. As when we boil potatoes vitamin C is lost. Hence baked potatoes have fiber and vitamin C. Potatoes are generally loaded with butter, cheese, oil, cream hence it leads to increase in weight. If we club potatoes with lesser butter and oily stuff instead club them with veggies Or green leafy vegetables. Same potatoes can be healthy.
I love Mashed Potatoes when clubbed with sizzlers, sandwiches, continental dishes, pizzas Or baked veggies. Mashed potatoes tastes great in any style you make. Make them in Indian Or western style I bet it tastes amazing in any style you make.
We were dropping by at my hubby friends house on Friday night. So I made baked vegetables with Mashed potatoes and some fiery tangy penne pasta. Their entire family loved it. Something in my heart was happy 🙂 🙂

- If Indian spices are not available you could use just black Or white pepper powder. Instead of red chili powder you could use red chili flakes Or paprika. Herbs like thyme, rosemary, oregano and basil leaves can be used instead.
- Cumin seeds need to be roasted gently on low heat and then used. You could replace cumin seeds with cumin powder.
- Calorie conscious people can replace butter with olive oil.
- To make these nuttier you could add a dash of roasted almonds Or peanuts.
