Mint Sherbet, How to make Mint Sherbet Recipe | Pudina Sherbet

Mint sherbet – is my favorite drink. Mint is commonly known as Pudina in India. Mint Sherbet is made from mint leaves purely and some basic ingredients. Let me tell you this Mint Sherbet is sugar free, low cal, healthy and refreshing. You can store this Mint Sherbet in the fridge and drink when you feel like. The best part is it is made instantly even kids can make them 🙂

Mint Sherbet

Mint is known for its beneficial properties. Mint is good for digestion and healing stomach problems. May be that’s why mint is used in chewing gum,toothpaste, mouthwash etc. So do grow mint plant in your garden, terrace or balconies. It’s always useful to have mint around. I have even tried mint chocolate icecream trust me it tastes awesome.

Mint Sherbet

This recipe I haven’t used sugar. I have made use of jaggery which is healthy. Also I have used lime juice and some spices for better flavor. Anyways lemme share this drink with you guys now!

 

How to make Mint Sherbet recipe step by step:

  1. Firstly separate mint leaves from stem. Wash them nicely keep aside.

2. Combine all ingredients into a processor jar. Grind into processor until all blends well.

3. Take a mesh strainer strain the mixture. Discard the leftover pulp.

4. Now serve mint sherbet into glasses with some ice-cubes. Garnish with slices of lime.

recipeIngredient (used american measuring cup, 1 cup = 250 ml)
  • 1 bunch of mint (pudina) leaves Or about 2 cups leaves
  • ½ lime juice
  • 6 tbsp grated jaggery Or sugar
  • 1 tbsp fennel seed powder (saunf)
  • 1 tbsp cumin seed powder (jeera)
  • a pinch of asofoetida (hing)
  • 1 tbsp chat masala
  • a pinch of salt
How to make the recipe?

    The idea of the single flavor of mint in a cold drink does intrigue! This is definitely a new one for me. I am saving this because I am a big fan of any and all things mint. Also, nice to know about the health benefits. Great post!
