This is my first attempt to make Gelato! Simple and easy steps to make this Pineapple Gelato-Eggless Gelato. I wanted to name this Sunrise Gelato as the color of this Gelato is just like a rising sun. However I decided later to keep as Pineapple Gelato-Eggless Gelato. The best part of this recipes is…………………………….No eggs, no fuss, no ice cream maker, simple yet so delicious. Even a beginner or bachelor can make it easily. Perhaps I could have used fresh pineapples but I decided to go for tinned Pineapples. Do try this easy Pineapple Gelato-Eggless Gelato.
Pineapple also called as Ananas in India. You could use any other fruit of your choice. Follow the same instructions to make your favorite fruit gelato:)….. I am so glad I haven’t used any Ice cream maker, machines. Just used my brain which sometimes need to be utilized right.
This gelato is made with very few ingredients. You could add dry-fruits if you wish to. Let me also tell you the taste of this Pineapple Gelato was so yum. Within a day it was consumed by my family. Especially my mom loved it which was a great compliment for me. I am really happy and contented with this Pineapple Gelato-Eggless Gelato gelato. I am looking forward to make some more gelatos.
You could serve this Gelato sliced on a platter. Also serve as fruit salad with gelato Or dab some chocolate sauce on it. I tried all the above ways and it tastes great every way. The tanginess of Orange rind, sweetness of Pineapple syrup and Pineapples tastes heavenly. Hint of dry-fruits with chocolate syrup is a lethal combination.

Also this is complete vegetarian. All this while I was wondering how could vegans make this gelato? Please replace cow milk with Coconut Milk.
Total Time: 2 hour(30 mins making rest freezing)
Serves: 10 People unless all of them are dessert lover.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups Milk
- 1/2 Orange Rind
- 4 to 5 Tinned Pineapple Slices Or 1 cup crushed Pineapple)
- 5 tbsp Pineapple Syrup from Tinned Pineapple
- 3 Fresh Green cardamoms powdered
- 2 tbsp Corn flour
- 2 tbsp Custard Powder
- 1 cup Sugar Or Brown Sugar
- 10 to 12 Raisins
- 1/2 cup Dry fruits(Optional)
Method:
Chop the canned pineapples into small pieces. If the pineapple are already crushed than don’t chop them. Take a small pan. Place it on low fire. Add 5 tbsp pineapple syrup from the can. Add chop pineapples to it.
Put 1 tbsp brown sugar. Cover with a lid for 5 mins. Add orange rind to this syrup. After 6 mins switch off the gas. Keep this syrup aside.
Once the pineapple-orange rind cools down. Grind them in a grinder on low speed just about a minute.
Take another wok or vessel. Pour milk into it. Heat the milk on low fire. Take about 2 tbsp Milk add to custard powder. Stir well. Also take 1 tbsp water mix with the cornflour to make a paste.
Add both custard+cornflour paste to the boiling milk. Keep stirring else it might stick at the bottom of the vessel. After 5 mins the milk will start getting thicker. Now add fresh cardamom powder and raisins to it. Add rest of sugar and keep stirring. Put dryfruits if you are using for your gelato.
Once the milk is cuddling and becomes thick. Switch off the gas. Keep this thick milk aside.
When both the mixture cools down. Combine slowly and mix both the ingredients.
Once mixture incorporates appropriately pour into icecream mould.
Once they are firm your Pineapple Gelato-Eggless Gelato is ready.
Scoop and serve Or Pour some Chocolate Syrup on it.
You could also decorate with some nuts.
Also serve it on a platter with fruits to make fruit salad with Gelato. I am sure your guests, kids everyone will love them.
Tip:
- Check the sugar and consistency before refrigerating them.
- You could add some whipped cream Or sweetened milk to make this Gelato more richer and creamier.
- Vegans could use coconut milk instead of cow milk.

Firstly thanks for your compliments. Do try out Pineapple Gelato. Rupa you could use any flavor even I had used vanilla flavor. You could go ahead using vanilla custard. Also don’t forget to add Orange rind for some tangy flavor. All the best do lemme know how was it 🙂
