Sprouted Mung Bean

After eating lot of coastal food I wanted to eat light food but healthy. Hence we made Sprouted Mung Bean. Sprouted Mung Bean is easy, healthy and yummy. One of the most simplest dishes on earth is Sprouted Mung Bean recipes. Even Bachelors can make Sprouted Mung Bean vegetable without being hassled.

Sprouted Mung Bean

Sprouted Mung is great for people on diet. Sprouted Mung is rich in vitamins and minerals. Also considered as one of the healthiest bean.

This Sprouted Mung Bean recipe is yummy and done instantly. Not much effort is required. The dish is ready in jiffy minutes. Perhaps you could make this recipe when you really tired and worn out 🙂

This yum sprouted mung bean is made with only 6 ingredients. Fresh Coconut gives great flavor to this recipe. The best part is there are no spices added yet so tasty. It is a must try recipe.

Total Time: 20 to 25 mins

Serves: 3 People

Ingredients:

  • 150 Gms Sprouted Mung Or 1 bowl
  • 1 onion Chopped
  • 1 Green Chili Chopped
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Grated Coconut
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tbsp Oil

Method:

Firstly take sprouted mung bean. Keep it aside.

Take a wok or vessel add oil. Once oil is hot saute chopped onion, green chily for a minute on low flame.

Add turmeric and mix well.

Now add sprouted mung bean with salt as per taste.

Finally add Fresh grated coconut.

Cover the wok with a metal plate with some water on it. You can see in the pic below.

Let it boil for about 20 mins. Keep stirring and checking. Add 2 tbsp water if required. Once the mung bean cooks. Switch off the gas.

Your Sprouted Mung Bean is ready.

Serve hot with Chapatis, Naan, steamed rice.

You could just eat plain like that as a side starter or a brunch.

Tip:

  1. You could use Mung Beans without sprouts also for this recipe.
  2. Don’t add any other spices or masala as this dish tastes good with the above ingredients only.
