Sesame Dinner Rolls Recipe with step by step instructions. I have used white and black sesame seeds for calcium and proteins. Sesame Dinner Rolls are easy to make at the same time healthy and nutritious. My family and my pet loved too these Sesame Dinner Rolls.

I have replaced butter with olive oil. Also added wheat flour for fiber content. Very important is to use yeast of good quality. Otherwise your bread won’t rise. You could add 1 tablespoon of raagi flour, maize flour, bajra flour and jowari flour each in any bread you make. Once you add all these your bread will be rich in fiber and help in curbing cholesterol. So do include fiber in your diet for a healthy life.

How to make Sesame Dinner Rolls Recipe with step by step instructions:

1. Preheat the oven at 220°C for about 10 mins before baking bread. Also grease generously the baking pan. (don’t have a pic for this step).

2. Firstly take yeast and immerse in lukewarm water. Mix sugar and stir with a spoon. Keep covered in a humid place. After 5 to 7 mins it should have froth now add salt and stir again.

3. Take a big vessel combine flour, fresh yeast with water. Use your fingers and all the stamina to form a dough. Knead until 15 to 20 mins. Add little water Or oil if required.

4. Lastly add oil, sesame seeds and knead again the dough would be slightly sticky that’s fine. Don’t be tempted to add more flour.

5. Shape the dough into 6 to 7 oval shaped balls. It’s okay if they are not perfect in shape. You can give them spiral, round, cris cross, bagels, twisted any shape you desire. Place them in humid place with a damp towel for about 30 mins Or until risen doubly.

6. Place both sesame seeds on the platter. Now roll each ball on them. Coat them with sesame seeds from all sides.

7. Repeat the same with all balls. Keep them again in humid place with a damp cloth for another 30 mins Or until risen doubly.

8. Place them on greased pan and bake them at 220°C for about 15 mins Or until light brown and baked well.

9. Glaze them with margarine or butter with the help of brush on all sides of rolls.

  • 1.5 cups flour (I have used 1 cup refined and ½ cup wheat flour)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 t/s salt
  • 4 tbsp warm water
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh yeast Or 1 t/s dried yeast
  • 1 tbsp white sesame+black sesame
  • For Glaze-
  • 4 tbsp butter Or margarine
  • 3 tbsp white sesame
  • 3 tbsp black sesame

Notes
1. Use good quality yeast.
2. You could double the quantity of ingredients and make more dinner rolls.
