White ChocOrange Icecream With Dryfruits

One of my innovations and variation Orange White Chocolate Icecream:)… I have used white chocolate, oranges, orange juice, dry fruits, cranberries, craisins hence came up with this unique name of White ChocOrange Icecream with Dryfruits.  I wanted to make white chocolate mousse however I was thinking to make white chocolate mousse but made Orange Chocolate Icecream. My family loved it I loved it too. This Orange White Chocolate Icecream is a little blend of everything. Oranges gives tangy flavor, chocolate gives sweet flavor, craisins gives a punch flavor and dryfruits gives a nice crunchy flavor. So this Orange White Chocolate Icecream is healthy, sugar free, egg free and tastes heavenly. So its a must try on any day anytime.

I want to bit explore on cookies which I am gonna do soon. In the meanwhile I am happy exploring with my new variations on eggless icecream and eggless cakes. I am loving it. You could also utilize this icecream in icecream cake or as a dollop on mousse, cakes, float icecream, custard, pie, fruit tarts. Guess if you are like me you will just remove from the freezer scoop out and eat them lols 🙂

Orange White Chocolate Icecream

Somehow I am in love desserts so I keep making them. I get indulge in them through cakes, icecream, shakes, smoothie, drinks, mousse something Or the other.

Anyways I don’t wanna keep you curious. Let me quickly share this mouthwatering icecream with all of you.

Orange White Chocolate Icecream

Total Time: 25 mins making+3 hours Or more for firming

Serves: 10 to 12 dessert lovers

Ingredients:

  1. 250 gms white chocolate chunks
  2. 200 ml milk
  3. 150 ml full cream
  4. 1/2 orange pulp
  5.  1 cup orange juice
  6. 4 tbsp heaped custard powder
  7. 3 tbsp vanilla powder
  8. 2 tbsp agar agar
  9. 1 tbsp olive oil
  10. 4 tbsp craisins
  11. 10 to 12 cranberries
  12. 12 to 14 almonds
  13. 10 to 12 hazelnuts
  14. 8 to 10 walnuts

Method:

Firstly take all dryfruits and pestle gently with a mortar just four times. This is just to crush the dryfuits a little bit so that it breaks into pieces. Don’t use lot of force Or you might have dryfuit powder 🙂

Orange White Chocolate Icecream

Take a heavy bottomed sauce pan. Add milk, vanilla powder and white chocolate chunks to it. Ensure heat is on low mode. Keep stirring this mixture until they amalgamate into each other. There should be no lumps formed.

It’s time to add pounded dry fruits along with craisins and cranberries.

Take 3 tbsp hot water mix agar agar into it. Keep it aside.

Now take another bowl mix custard with little hot milk. Stir util dissolves completely. Add this mixture to the milk-chocolate mixture. Keep stirring as no lumps should be formed.

Let this cook for about 6 to 7 mins more Or until milk starts thickening and begins to cuddle. Please keep stirring else might stick at the bottom. After 3 to 4 mins more switch off the gas. Allow this to cool down.

In the meanwhile take cream, orange pulp and orange juice. Beat this mixture with a spoon Or beater for about 2 to 3 mins.

Once the milk mixture comes to room temperature. Combine beaten cream-orange mixture to it. Mix all well. Now add the agar agar mixed with hot water.

Pour the mixture into the desired mould. Freeze until 3 hours Or until firm.

Scoop out serve chilled. Top with chocolate sauce Or chocho chips. You could also top with orange slices.

Also you could make icecream float. Just pour icecream juice along with soda in tall glass. Top with icecream. Voila your icecream float is ready.

Tip:

  • You could add dryfruits of your choice. I haven’t used cashews you could use cashews, pistachios anyone you like.
  • I have topped icecream with chocolate shavings, chocolate sauce and some butter scotch nuts.

      Rupali you could use non flavored china grass or agar agar they are same. Agar agar comes in powder form also comes in sachet. They are also known as halwa grass easily available at any super markets even local shops. Which area you live may be I could help you more??

      Melanie craisins are combination of dried cranberries and raisins hence called craisins. Hope this helped you.

      Once you mix the orange – cream mixture to the boiled milk. Lastly add agar agar mixed with hot water. Thanks for pointing out 🙂

    hello, very well presented recpies , really lovinng to see eggless iceceam and want to make this particular icecream as my son loves white chocolate in any form but very stupid question from my side how to make orange pulp and what is agar agar, is it china grass ?after step 10 can i make in icecream machine as i have one? next question is related to custard apple icecream , in Delhi we call it sharifa ,i mean to ask sitaphal and sharifa same thing?

      Thanks Meenakshi 🙂 For Orange Pulp take oranges peel off their skin and white threads and deseed them. Chop oranges and grind them into a processor until nicely blended. Agar Agar is china grass also it is available in stores where you get materials for cake. Agar Agar is available in form of sheets and powder form. Custard Apples are called as SItafal and Sharifa both. You could use your icecream maker but it’s not required. Hope I have helped you take care!…Love, Maria

    The base recipe for the ice cream sounds awesome by itself. However,the add ins of the dried fruit are a unique and delicious idea. Keep these frosty treats coming-yum!
