Learn to make Cheese Pizza recipe with toppings right from scratch at home. I have used caramelized onion with other veg toppings for this pizza. You could any toppings of your choice like mushrooms, corn etc.
I had never thought of making pizzas but thought of doing something challenging. It’s altogether a different pleasure when you try something difficult and achieve success. Many of us have experienced this I am sure!
Very basic ingredients goes in making pancetta. Usually pine nuts are added however pine nuts aren’t usually available in India. So replaced them with almonds for the nutty flavor. Also to make it more fiery and hot have added chilies and black pepper.

1. Preheat the oven at 200°C exactly before 10 mins of baking. Take water in a cup microwave for 30 secs. Now mix the fresh yeast in this slightly warm water Or lukewarm water. Stir with a spoon and keep in a humid place for 10 mins. Ideally the mixture should get frothy in 5 to 7 mins. Lastly add salt and keep it aside.
2. Combine all dry ingredients from 1 to 10 barring yeast and oil. Sift the dry ingredients 3 to 4 times. Now add yeast mixture and mix with your fingers.
3. Lastly add oil and knead the dough for 10 to 15 mins until soft and smooth texture. Roll into 2 even balls. Now take a roller and shape the ball on a flat surface into oval/round shape. Roll out to a circle approximately 10 to 12 inches with 1/2 inch thickness.
4. Now transfer this into a greased pan. Cover with a damp cloth. Place it in a humid place. Allow it to rise it should double up in 30 mins. In the meanwhile we will prepare the pancetta topping.
For topping:
1. Chop onion and chilies. Also chop olives and coriander leaves. Keep this aside don’t saute them just directly add them on pancetta.
2. Take a small pan add butter/olive oil. Add sugar and flaked/chopped almonds. Also add chilies. Saute all on low fire for a minute.
3. Now add sliced onions. Saute onions until pink in color. Remove from fire and set aside.
4. The pizza dough must have risen. Just take a fork and gently pierce on all sides. Spread the Onion mixture on the base leaving 1/2 inch gap of the edges.
5. Spread sauted onion mixture leaving about 1/2 inch gap of the edges.
6. Now spread cheese and cover the onion completely.
7. It’s time to add fresh chopped olives on the cheese. This will form a layer on your pizza.
8. Again spread grated cheese covering the olives. Finally add chopped coriander leaves and herbs. Also sprinkle pepper powder an salt.
9. Bake at 200°C for about 15 to 20 mins Or until crust is crispy golden brown in color. Your Pizza is ready. Slice it and serve hot with sauce, chutney.

- For topping:

- 1 onion sliced thinly
- 7 to 8 black olives chopped
- 1 green chili chopped
- 1 tbsp sugar for caramelization
- 8 to 10 crushed Or chopped almonds/almond flakes
- 3 strands or coriander chopped
- 1 tbs mixed herbs/thyme/parsley/rosemary
- 1 tbsp black pepper powder
- 75 gms parmesan cheese/ mozarella cheese/ processed cheese grated
- 1 t/s salt

Good blog… however I think u have some errors.. for instance… Pancetta is a lightly spiced pork bacon and I was wondering where it was in this recipe. If its not pork, its not pancetta.
Also in another recipe, you supposedly cook mussels whereas the pics show that you use clams. Although technically mussels refer to a wide variety of clams, in a kitchen mussels refer specifically to the long greenish variety.
Good blog though… Just that I found it a little confusing because of the ingredient names which were not there. However will definitely try your litchi ice cream for Christmas.

I agree bacon is main ingredient for Pancetta however now various versions of pancetta is available and different recipes are available in cookery books, google etc. Mine is a different version of Pancetta. Now that is a real pizza-you really did not skimp on any of the toppings-yum! I also like the fact that the crust is not real flat. I wonder how it would do cooked on the grill..Yum!
