Corn Tikki Patties has been my hot favorite since childhood. I have been making corn tikki patties since college days. Corn is also referred as Makai or Bhutta In India. This Corn Tikki Patties Recipe is simple to make. The ingredients required for Corn Tikki Patties Recipe is easily available in your kitchen. You could eat this Corn Tikki Patties Recipe with sweet dahi Or with tea Or as a Chaat. Any ways this Corn Tikki Patties Recipe tastes yum!
My mom loved the Moong Dal Tadka so much that I made yesterday. She asked me to make it again. Also I had to think about my pet while cooking food as she loves only non veg food. But surprisingly my pet loves corn. So I thought of making Corn Tikki Patties Recipe. As she loves anything made out of corn. Also this Corn Tikki Patties would taste great with my dal. My family loved the dal as well as Corn Tikki Patties.
Its quite simple even a bachelor or beginner can make them. You can put some sev sprinkle lime juice and chaat masala. Serve with mint chutney or sauce. Your Corn Tikki Chaat is ready. My mouth has already started watering. I am sure yours watering too 🙂
Total Time: 40 mins(20 mins potato and corn boiling rest for making patties)
Serves: 3 People
Ingredients:
- 1 Corn Cob
- 1 Potato
- 1 and 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
- 2 Green Chili
- 2 tbsp Chat Masala
- 1 tbsp Lime Juice
- 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- Salt as per taste
- 1/2 cup Coriander Leaves
- 3 to 4 tbsp Oil for shallow fry
Method:
If you don’t have bread crumbs don’t worry. Just chop about 7 bread into a grinder. Grind until fine particles are formed. Don’t add water while grinding. Keep this bread crumbs aside.
Boil potatoes and corn till tender. Now remove the corn kernels with the help of knife. Combine corn with ginger-garlic paste, few coriander leaves. Grind all of them until a smooth paste is formed.
Mash the potatoes along with few coriander leaves, chili and chat masala.
Now mix the corn paste with mashed potatoes, bread crumbs, corn paste and salt. Combine all of them with your hand. Shape them into small balls. Rub some oil in your hand the batter won’t stick to your fingers. Flatten these corn balls shaping into a patties.
Take a frying pan. Add oil and keep your gas on low flame. Once the oil is hot place these patties into it gently. Shallow fry them from both sides until golden brown and crisp.
Pat with tissue paper to remove excess oil.
Your Corn Tikki Patties Recipe is ready. Garnish them with coriander leaves.
Serve them on a platter with mint chutney or sauce. You can have them during tea time as well.
Tip:
- Ensure while frying them your gas is on low mode. Otherwise they won’t fry from within and might get burnt.
- You could also add peanuts or cashews or sesame seeds into this Corn Tikki Patties Recipe.

Thanks you could use some gram flour Or bread crumbs Or bread soaked in water and drained. Any of these you could use instead of potatoes.
