This is my second post on my cute favorite strawberries. I just get strawberry home the moment I see them. I got a huge pack of strawberries home and was thinking all the while what to do with them?… My mom was telling me to make Ice – cream from past few days. So I thought of making homemade strawberry Ice-cream and that too egg-less. I took some tips from my mom and made this awesome Ice-cream. Rest ingredients I used my grey cell for this egg less strawberry ice-cream.
Egg less strawberry ice-cream turned out o be yummy, delicious and my family just loved it. I am gonna keep trying more such Homemade egg-less Icecream with fruits. I clubbed figs with this strawberry ice-cream to enhance its flavor also making it richer. For Calorie conscious people you could use skimmed milk and low fat sugar for this amazing ice-cream. This Homemade Strawberry Ice-cream got over so soon :(…. nevertheless I am gonna try different flavors and experiment with ice-cream.
To be honest with you this is my first attempt towards Ice-cream. I just loved it and was totally gaga over this eggless ice-cream. There is no fuss about machines, Ice-cream maker or any complicated problems. Especially for a first time ice-cream maker. This is simple and easy steps to make this awesome Ice-cream.
I have used figs you can use cashew nuts, almonds or pistachios. You could use any dryfruit you like and mix as added flavor with this Ice-cream.
Preparation Time: 1 hour+ Freezing Icecream will depend on your fridge capacity
Serves: 7 to 8 People
Ingredients:
- 15 to 16 Fresh Strawberries
- 4 cups Milk
- 2 tbsp Heaped Corn Flour
- 2 tbsp Heaped Custard Powder(any flavor will do)
- 2 cup of Fruit Juice ( apple juice Or Orange juice I have taken apple juice)
- 5 to 6 Figs (Anjeer)
- 1/2 cup Chopped Walnut (Optional)
- 1 cup Brown Sugar Or Sugar Or Icing Sugar as sweetness desired
- 4 tbsp Sweetened Milk
- 1 t/s Spice (Nutmeg Powder + Green Cardamom(velchi) Powder)
Method:
First of all wash the strawberries and dice them into 2 halves.
Take a small pan or vessel add apple or orange juice. Add diced strawberries and dry figs into it. Keep the gas on low flame. Cover with lid for few mins. Do add 1 tbsp Sugar into it. Once the strawberries becomes soft. Roughly after 5 to 7 mins remove from fire and let this mixture cool down.
Take a medium sized vessel for boiling milk. Start boiling milk.
In a small bowl add 2 tbsp water to cornflour and stir well. Take another small bowl add 2 tbsp milk and mix with custard powder.
Pour about 4 tbsp Sweetened milk into the boiling milk. Keep the gas on low flame. Keep stirring this mixture. Slowly add custard powder- milk mixture.
Don’t stop stirring. Do add Cornflour-water mixture. Also add sugar. Now keep mixing. After 10 to 15 mins milk will start cuddling and become thick. Once the texture of milk changes and becomes thick. Switch off the flame and let this milk cool down.
Combine strawberry-apple mixture with thick milk mixture into a grinder. Now grind them to form a smooth paste. Once everything is incorporated well. Shift this mixture to an ice-cream mould or container.
Decorate this ice-cream batter with walnuts on the top. Now keep them into ice box or refrigerate them until nice firm. Once firm your Strawberry Ice cream is ready!
Scoop this lovely strawberry ice-cream with nuts. Add some chocolate toppings, strawberry pieces and relish this amazing ice-cream.
Tips:
- Please use fresh strawberries
- If the consistency of ice-cream batter is thin do add more custard powder when you are boiling the milk.

hi maria
i have strawberry crush with me can use the same instead of strawberry.
juice is compulsary or optional
how much time will take it for set in freezer
maria says
Kirti you could use crush but add sugar accordingly as crush would have more amount of sugar. It depends on your freezer capacity generally should take 3 hrs if the icecream is firm then blend again and put back to freezer for soft icecream. Hope this helps you 🙂
