This is another summer specialty Jackfruit which comes only in summer. I am gonna talk about Jackfruit Pakoras and that too ripen one. It tastes yum, out of the world. The cover of Jackfruit Pakoras is crispy inside it tastes soft and sweet. It cannot be described in words. You got to make this Jackfruit Pakoras to experience what I am trying to express. I am thankful to my mom for this great recipe of Jackfruit Pakoras.
Jackfruit are great for health. Jackfruits has lot of nutritive value. It helps in strengthening the immune system as it consists of lot of vitamin C. It helps in controlling pressure, prevent anemia, healing digestive disorders also great for eyes and skin. Even the seeds of Jackfruit are used in making curries and vegetables.
Coming back to our Jackfruit Pakoras. It’s quite simple to make even kids can make them. While writing this I still feel like eating Jackfruit Pakoras…… Yummmmyyyyy…

Serves: 4 People
Ingredients:
- 20 Ripe Jackfruits without seeds
- 1/2 Cup Gram Flour (Besan)
- 2 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 t/s Coriander Seed Powder (Dhaniya)
- 1 t/s Turmeric Powder
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tbsp Amchur Powder (Raw Mango Powder)
- 5 tbsp Oil
- 2 to 3 tbsp Water
Method:
Firstly remove the seeds of Jackfruit with your hands. No equipment required just use your hands to remove the seeds of Jackfruit. Keep them aside.
Take a mixing bowl. Combine gram flour, chili powder, turmeric, coriander seed powder, amchur powder and salt.
Add water as thickness required. Lastly add few drops of oil. Combine everything to form a paste. Take a kadai or pan. Add oil and keep gas on low flame.
Dip jackfruit one by one in this batter. Once oil is hot put the coated jackfruit gently in the oil.
Deep fry the jackfruits until crisp and golden brown. Dab some tissue paper on them to remove excess oil. Your Jackfruit Pakoras are ready. Serve them hot with tomato ketchup.

Ken you should get them in market however they are seasonal so try to purchase canned ones as they won’t be available during winter. But thankyou for your kind words 🙂
