Homemade Saunf Powder, How to make Fennel Seed Powder Recipe

Lemme tell you a bit more about fennel seeds Or saunf. Fennel are rich source of dietary fiber. It helps in digestion of food also known to heal stomach problems. Fennel contains minerals like copper, iron, calcium, potassium and vitamins C, E and B3. It also helps in curbing cancer and prevents neurological disease. However it’s also advised not to have overdose of fennel seeds as it can cause problems. So do have fennel seeds but in limited quantities.

In India in almost all Indian restaurants and Hotels roasted fennel seeds are offered post your food. So it’s in our culture and tradition after food people love to binge on fennel seeds. It’s good as saunf is great for digestion. Yesterday I decided to make all fresh masalas home as i love their fragrance and color. When you buy masala from outside it won’t give you that impact, aroma and flavor in your food. So I prefer home made masalas. I made Curry Powder, Jeera Powder (cumin seed), Indian Garam Masala and Saunf Powder.

I love saunf powder a lot. Usually add them in my sprouts, curries and raitas. It’s one of my secret key ingredient which makes my dishes simply delicious and yum. So do try these home.
