Peas Pulao (step by step)

June 2, 2020 by maria 3 Comments

Goan Peas Pulao Recipe with coconut is a aromatic rice, flavored with fragrant spices yet mild and light on stomach. The coconut milk gives a subtle flavor and a lovely flavor to this pulao. You could club them with salad, chutney or papads or some fried stuff.

Peas Pulao (step by step)

My hubby loves this pulao and always demands to make them. We love to eat them with any side dish or just the pulao by itself 😉 I have used basmati rice you could use kolam or any long grained rice for this recipe.

The main ingredients for this dish is green peas and coconut milk. You could use fresh green peas or the frozen ones. If you wish you could add other veggies like carrots, potatoes or french bean. However being peas pulao I haven’t added any other vegetable that’s optional leave upto you.

The best thing about pulaos are they are comfort food and one pot meal. If you are in a rush then just cook pulao they taste good and is cooked in no time. Moreover you have less of utensils to be washed 🙂 guess I am trying to give you a lazy idea.

Other Goan pulaos which are popular are veg pulao, prawns pulao and chicken pulao.  I have cooked them in a pan but you could make them in a pressure cooker too. Both ways they taste good.
