How to make Custard Apple Milkshake, Custard Apple Milkshake Recipe

May 11, 2016 by maria 23 Comments

How to make Custard Apple Milkshake? It’s quite simple and instantly made!…Rains are bidding us goodbye with thunder and lightening but it’s still quite hot. Hence I decided to make Custard Apple Milk Shake which is cool, classy, filling, nutritious, low fat and most important no sugar. I am expecting a friend home today so I have kept this healthy drink for her too :)…however if she doesn’t turn up its mine πŸ˜‰ so wicked and mean I can be naa… but I love all desserts made with custard apples. I am planning to come up with 3 unique desserts from custard apples soon. Β Last time I made 3 unique dishes from coconut milk. This time 3 unique desserts from custard apples…I am loving it..

How to make Custard Apple Milkshake

One is sugar free custard apple milk shake which I am sharing with everyone in this post. Watch out for eggless custard apple cheesecake and quick custard apple icecream! My mouth is already watering by just writing the dessert names.

By sugar free I mean add more custard apples and less milk. Custard apples are sweet enough however if you require more sweetness. Add grated jaggery Or chocolate syrup. You could also use Natura sugar free readily available in the market.

How to make Custard Apple Milkshake

I just can’t liveΒ withΒ this anxiety lemme quickly share this recipe with all of you!

Total Time: 20 mins (15 mins for deseeding the custard apple rest for making)

Serves: 3 to 4 people

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups custard apple pulp
  2. 2 tbsp vanilla powder (optional)
  3. 2 cups chilled milk
  4. 3 tbsp grated jaggery (optional)
  5. few ice cubes

Method:

Very important remove the seeds of custard apples. It’s a heavy task to do ;). Once your pulp is ready. Your milkshake will be ready in just 4 to 5 mins.

Combine cold milk, custard apple pulp, vanilla powder and grated jaggery if using. Grind all into a processor.

Grind until all blends well. Add some ice cubes and blend again.

Check the consistency I like my milkshake thick. If you want thin consistency add little more milk.

Serve chilled in glasses. Top with choco candies Or just gulp it.. slurp slurp πŸ˜‰

Tip:

  • You could add nuts to make it more nutritious.
  • Also if you could top up with a dollop of icecream would be a great idea.
  • Vegans could use soy milk instead of cows milk. Even coconut milk sound great.

Enjoy Custard Apple Milkshake!

Thankyou for stopping by and will await for your views….. love you all πŸ™‚

It sure would help the readers if you gave the ‘other’ names for custard apples. Such as cherimoya, etc.

Hi! I found this post via Foodbuzz and thought it sounded fantastic. I was wondering, though, how do you get apple pulp?

Hey Jess I haven’t seen custard apple readily available in the market. You will have to do it manually.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a “custard apple”, but I’m going to have to look that one up. I love apples of any kind, so this milk shake sounds absolutely delicious to me! I’ve never had an apple milkshake, but maybe it’s time. πŸ™‚ Congrats on the Top 9!

You know we have a 31 flavor ice cream place that makes milkshakes also, but I cannot think of any that are apple flavored! Well since I have this recipe, I will not have to worry about that any more. Apple Milkshake-unique and tasty idea. Well done Maria!
