Iced Coffee (vegan)

June 2, 2020 by maria 13 Comments

Iced Coffee recipe a refreshing drink filled with strong and bold flavors! Both lime and coffee equally have their own taste, aroma and flavor. The combination is unusual but they taste great together. I know people who love or hate this drink. But people who love coffee would surely fall for this drink and love them 😉 This drink is good for vegans too.

Iced Coffee (vegan)

We love iced tea home and I am fond of coffee too. Especially coffee drinks like cold coffee, coffee frappe, filter coffee, cafe late, espresso, cappuccino, chocolate coffee, mocha coffee any kind of drinks made from coffee. My hubby isn’t fond of tea or coffee except iced tea. So I made this drink only for me and sipped all by myself.

This drink is regular at my place make some for my friends and guest too. They all have mixed reaction only people addicted to coffee mostly love this drink. So you got to try yourself to find out if it’s for you or not.

The only challenge is how would you balance lime and coffee both. Also you got to add slightly more sugar as due to presence of strong flavors the sweetness gets subdued. Secondly use instant espresso powder for instant coffee. However I have used coffee powder grounded at home. I have boiled with water then strained and sieved them on a linen cloth. Discarded the leftover and used the remaining syrup. Prefer strong coffee flavor hence like to boil as the impact is much stronger.

In my hey days of working have spent a lot of time in cafes near office. Not working in cafes but whiling away time and having fun with friends. Guess my love for coffee started growing from there. Always used to love the various kind of coffee with whipped cream, various patterns etc garnished over the coffee. Coffee glass or cup used to be so adorable then.

  9. Garnish with lime wedges it's optional. Stir with a stirrer. Serve your iced coffee chilled with your favorite brownie or sandwich.
Notes
1. Add coffee syrup as per your liking and preference.
2. If you love milk add milk towards the last stage but avoid lime else the milk would cuddle.
3. You could use any mild or strong coffee powder which you like. But do remember how it would taste with lime then make a choice.

yes it should be enough or use as required coz more lime juice will be tangier so you will have to use more sugar.

Thanks for this iced coffee recipe without milk. This would be great to drink on a hot day now that I’ve decided to stop consuming dairy. I like that this recipe uses lime juice. That seems like a good way to give this an additional kick.
